The Peoples Democratic Party in a new statement released by their National Publicity Secretary Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan has called the recent unveiling of name and logo of the new National Carrier “Nigeria Air” as a ruse from President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The party in the statement calls the unveiling of what he calls “drawings” as a huge joke, saying the APC is only trying to score a cheap point as it is election period.

The major opposition party said they whole ruse was targetted at the 2019 General Elections as it raised a number of issues to back its claims on the supposed new ‘Nigeria Air”.

The Statement questioned the government on their December operation date when there is no form of recruiting going on or that has been done. It also touched on the issue of licensing by the new airline, and the five percent Government stake as a ploy to pave further way for the cabals in President Buhari’s administration to further embezzle funds. The Statement reads:

“Nigeria Air: President Muhammadu Buhari and his failed and dysfunctional Federal Government should perish the thought of trying to use the ‘unveiling’ of a non-existing national carrier to beguile Nigerians now that election is around the corner. Such a ruse cannot yield any dividend.

It is unfortunate that, having ran out of fake promises and not having any tangible projects in three years, the failed President Muhammadu Buhari and his dysfunctional All Progressive Congress Nigeria have now resorted to international kite-flying aimed at hoodwinking unsuspecting Nigerians.

Is it not comical that while other nations are unveiling and rolling out real planes, the Muhammadu Buhari administration, in a most hilarious manner, is ‘unveiling’ drawings of an airplane, name, logo and imaginary routes of a non-existing fleet, as our national carrier, in London?
What President Buhari and his handlers fail to understand is that Nigerians can see through their fraud and lies.
Apart from drawing of airplanes, there are no structures to indicate that a new airline billed to commence operation December this year is being set up. There are no offices, no recruitment of personnel, and no form of ground activity going on anywhere in the country.
Does it not smack of a pure scam that less than six months to commence operation the supposed new airline has not even started the process of licensing, even when it takes a minimum of six months for a new airline to obtain air operating license and three months to develop its manuals.

Furthermore, every discerning mind can see through the lines in the announced private sector funding, as the Buhari administration has been unable to list any private investor he has gone into negotiation with or sign any form of deal with in the said project.

If the Buhari administration is not on a fantasy trip to beguile Nigerians and pave the further way for its humongous corruption he should have focused on our existing National carrier structures, in addition to three operating airlines already taken over by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
It is therefore clear is a huge scam and that the five percentage funding by the government is a direct ploy by the cabals in Buhari’s Presidency to spend billions of naira on a phantom project
