Two suspected cultists have been apprehended by the Anambra State Police Command, after a reported clash and shooting at the popular Tempsite Okpuno in Awka, Anambra State.
According to the report released on Thursday 8th April 2021, by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, stated that the two suspected cultists were arrested in connection with a case of cultism.
DSP Ikenga Tochukwu in his statement gave the names of the two suspected cultists as a 30-year-old male Victor Ikechukwu and another 35-year-old male, Ifeanyi Uyanne.
The two suspected according to the statement, were arrested following a shooting incident that occurred on the 7th April 2021, at Tempsite Okpuno, Awka, Anambra State.
DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said the Police recovered one tinted Toyota Corolla Vehicle and one suspected military Cap uniform.
“However, two yet unidentified young men who sustained gunshot wounds were found at the crime scene. They were rushed to a nearby hospital but were confirmed dead by a doctor on the ground.
To this end, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command, CP Monday Bala Kuryas Fsi calls on parents/guardians to watch over their children and wards and prevent them from engaging in cultism and associated vices,” he added.
