Reno Omokri has questioned the thought process of Ekiti State Civil Servants aftermath of the July 14, 2018 Governorship election in the State, saying they should forget about their salaries as the winner of the election, Dr Fayemi has a debt to pay to all his political godfathers.
He alleged that Dr Fayemi bought votes that gave him the mandate on Saturday, so when he resumes office, his focus would be on how to use the State resources to settle all the debts and also do a thanksgiving.
The former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan taking to his social media page, said the Governor-elect will make sure all Ekiti State allocation will be going to pockets of political godfathers, as electing him will never guarantee anything as regard to payment of civil servant’s salaries.
The issues of salaries was a major talking point during the governorship campaign from both the APC and PDP and it is not a surprise that this same Salary issue in a State well known as a civil servant state, is still generating alot of arguments after the election.
It is also reported that the outcome of the election may have been influenced by the civil servants who felt that the outgoing Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose failed to pay up their salaries after he promised to do so; so, Dr. Fayemi winning the election as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission was to punish Fayose the source alleged.
Reno Omokri in his post on social media said:
“I pity Ekiti civil servants who are expecting Fayemi to come and pay their salaries. Where did they think all the money to buy votes came from? Heaven?? Look, for the foreseeable future, Ekiti’s federal allocation will be devoted to tithes and thanksgiving offering to godfathers!”
