President Muhammadu Buhari has received with sadness the news of the death of late elder statesman and ex-Governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria and Minister of Finance, Late Adamu Ciroma who died in the early hours of today in Abuja.
The President who expressed his sadness released a statement through his Senior Special Adviser on media and Publicity Mr Garba Shehu on his social media handle, eulogizing the late leader, while also promising to honour him. The statement reads:
“President Muhammadu Buhari has received with sadness, the news of the passing of the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Adamu Ciroma.President Buhari also affirms that the late former CBN Governor will be honoured too for his contributions in promoting democracy in Nigeria and his legacies should be a constant reminder to politicians who wish to work for the good of their communities and our great country.
The President prays that Almighty Allah will grant Malam Ciroma eternal rest and comfort the elder statesman’s family, relatives, friends and associates.”
