Honourable Tidi Michael less than a 100-days after his swearing in as the Local Government Chairman of one of the cosmopolitan cities in Nigeria, Warri to be precise, organized the first-ever Economic Summit with the theme: ‘Warri Rising’. This he  hope would transform the economic fortune of the area away from Oil and Gas, as an area which is a host community to some of the major International Oil Companies in Nigeria.

The two-day Summit saw notable Politicians, Past and present Governors, sons and daughters, and even the Olu of Warri all gathered in one roof to share ideas and listen to the young Chairman on his plans to change the face of Warri. The guests present were fascinated as the Chairman went on about his plans for the economy of the city, how it can be revived and reposition it to its appropriate place, and wipe out the negative representation Nigerians have about Warri as a city.

His moves attracted a lot of commendation, as it shows a youth who had a plan even before he became a chairman. To be the first ever Local Government Chairman to initiate such an economic Summit, clearly shows he was ready and prepared for the task ahead, and no wonder since assuming office, awards have been coming in from all areas, congratulating him on his efforts so far.
