The remains of Mrs Elizabeth Johnson, mother of popular Nollywood Actress Mercy Johnson Okojie, was today buried at her country home in Kogi State, North Central of Nigeria.
Mrs Elizabeth Johnson who before her death was the mother of seven children, with Mercy Johnson being the fourth, was said to be a very hardworking woman who cared for her children from the little she was earning.
The Late Mrs Elizabeth until her death, was a devoted Christian and prayers were said to her at her wake, and before she was finally laid to rest amid tears from children and family members
The actress who has been away from social media activities for a while now, for obvious reasons, a few hours ago, took to her social media page to share some of the photos of the burial ceremony as she and her other siblings celebrate their mother for a life well spent
The actress who was supported by her husband Prince Odianosen Okojie and friends, could not hold back tears as the body of her late mother was being put to her grave, as she embraced her other siblings at the graveside.
The Special Assistant to the Governor of her State Kogi State, while sharing the photos on her social media page, also took the time out to share her condolence to her fellow entertainer, Mr Oladapo Oyebanjo who lost his 13-month son Daniel Oyebanjo on Sunday.
The actress who is also a mother of three and her siblings chose the white and blue African attire for the burial, away from the usual black, as the colour symbolizes peace. Taking to her social media while expressing her sadness at the death of her mother, she said:
We said our final good bye to our loving mother a few days ago. Adieu Mama. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support during this time.
