An unconfirmed report just reaching us now suggest that the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial zone senator of Abia State, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has been picked up by security operatives in Abuja.
According to the report, Senator Enyinnaya was picked up while leaving the National Assembly complex by some security operatives earlier today.
Reasons for his arrest is not yet known, but the Peoples Democratic Party’s Senator is well known to be a huge critic of the All Progressives Congress-led government, and also a man that still has issues with the court over the jumping of bail of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kalu, a case which is still pending in court.
He was the Senator who signed the bail bond for Nnamdi Kalu and whether there is a possible connection between his arrest to that, we cannot tell as the news is still developing.
