President Muhammadu Buhari has sent in his congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria after they recorded their first win at the on-going Russia 2018 world cup against Iceland.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria after a bad start to their world cup campaign took on Iceland for their second group game, and they did not fail hundred of millions back home, as a brace from Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa saw Nigeria defeat Iceland by 2-0.
Since the result, the President of Nigeria President Buhari through his Senior Special Adviser on media, Garba Shehu has sent in his congratulatory message to the Super Eagles, saying:
President Muhammadu Buhari heartily congratulates the Super Eagles on their victory Friday over the national team of Iceland in their second match at the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The President expresses particular delight at the confidence, discipline, team-work and indomitable spirit displayed by the young Nigerian players.
