The Golden State Warriors has once again shown why they are the best team in the NBA as they humiliate Lebron James and Cleveland Cavaliers to clinch their back-to-back NBA titles and their 3rd in four years.
The Golden State with the usual suspects of Curry and Durant with a joint point of 65, with Curry netting 30 and Durant 35 beat the Cavs 85-108 to complete the series 0-4 in favour of the Golden State.
Kevin Durant won the MVP and Warriors Championship wins in the last four years now look like this: 2015, 2017, 2018.
The man who is probably the happiest of the Warriors players, and one who is still getting used to winning NBA finals, Durant, after a wonderful performance throughout the series, had this to say:
“We all want something that’s bigger than ourselves. I think we love to see each other succeed. We love to come together and figure stuff out on the basketball court.
As reported by Reuters, Lebron James blamed his ‘broken hand’ on the defeat, saying he played three games with a broken hand…lol…he was quoted to have said:
“I had emotions of you just don’t get an opportunity like this on the road versus Golden State to be able to get a Game One, and I let the emotions get the best of me,” said James, wearing a brace on his right hand at his post-game conference.
“Pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand.”
On his plans for next season James said:
When I decide what I’m going to do with my future, my family and the folks that have been with me for the last, you know, 20 years, pretty much, will have a say-so,” he said.
Then it will ultimately come down to me, and so we’ll see what happens.”
