The English Premier League will now have the much talked about a two-week mid-season break. The news as reported by SkySports, would see the world most lucrative and popular League go off at some point during an active season, what has never happened before.
This could also take away the uniqueness of the English Premier League from others in Europe. But again, it could just be a one-off thing, and the League is back to normal.
According to the report, the League FA after much deliberation with teams and management have reached the conclusion of giving players the needed break. But the break would be around February and will start from the 2019/20 season.
This surely will be a good news for many team managers, especially those on European duties, and also could help the English clubs to prepare and compete like they should in Europe. But again, a day without the Premier League…?
