Arsenal has announced the signing of 34-year old Lichsteiner after almost 7years at Juventus. The player who could possibly challenge Hector Bellerin for his right-wing position in the coming weeks left Juventus on a free transfer to the London emirate.
This will be the first signing for new manager Unai Emery who is looking to turn around the fortune of the club. After decades of frustrating seasons without the English Premier League trophy and European cup under Arsene Wenger, he will be looking to add more experience legs to the squad to challenge for these trophies come next season.
The player who still has a contract with Juventus will make the official move by the next transfer window on a free transfer.
