Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has taken to his social media page to give an update on the status of health of Senator Dino Melaye.
The Senator representing Bayelsa East said his colleague the embattled Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial Zone, is in high spirit after his mini-drama with the Nigerian Police during his arrest and alleged jumping off a police van on a motion.
Though the case between Senator Dino Melaye and the Nigerian Police is still in Court, as he was able to get an adjournment and a transfer back to the Abuja National Hospital for proper care, the case is far from over.
The Nigerian Police are charging him for his alleged involvement in unrest in Kogi State, as some political thugs and kidnappers arrested by the Police have allegedly implicated the Senator as their sponsor, a case which the police are ready to see to the conclusion.
Senator Ben Murray Bruce in his message said that he just left the hospital where he went to see Dino Melaye and that Dino is in high spirits.
He went further to say that Dino sends his appreciation and he is most grateful to all those who supported him, even as he looks forward to his day in court.
On his part, Ben Bruce suggests the Senator is granted bail so he can get better care and recuperate faster.
