Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the recent killings in Birnin Gwari in Kaduna state. The Turaki Adamawa frowned at the incessant killings all over the country, especially in the North.
He said it is worrisome that there is no longer respect for the sanctity of life, as this has been long lost in Nigeria.
In a statement, he released a while ago, Atiku who is also vying for the Presidential seat come 2019, express his condolences to the families and those who lost their lives in the senseless act. He said:
My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the people of Birnin Gwari. May their souls rest in peace.
It worries me that there is no longer respect for the sanctity of life in our dear country. I’m heartbroken to learn that scores of precious lives have been massacred in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State.
