The President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has declared for a second term, as he looks to continue in office beyond 2019. The statement which was made available by the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufia, said the President told the National Executive Committee of the ruling party APC earlier today of his intention to run for the office of the President for a second term in 2019 General Elections.
El-Rufia who broke the news via his twitter handle said:
PMB has just announced to APC NEC his intention to run for a second term of office. Alhamdulillah. – Nasir El-Rufai
