Image: PDP alleged APC Planned the adoption of Dapchi Girls
The sudden release of 101 Dapchi School Girls by Boko Haram militants in the early hours of Wednesday morning, as expected, has been generating a lot of reactions and comments both from Politicians, citizens and parents from the remote village of Dapchi. But the statement or reaction most prominent amongst them and one which is also getting the most attention is that of the major if not the only Political Party in Nigeria, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
The PDP who frowned at the way and manner the Dapchi kidnapping was carried out and the eventual release of the girls, said in a press statement that the whole thing was a ‘scam’ perpetuated by the President Buhari led government and the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
Given the similarity with that of the Chibok girls, where many of the girls are yet to be released by the Boko Haram group, despite all efforts by the then President Jonathan led government, before the coming of President Buhari who came and facilitated some of the released of the Chibok girls and some thousands of others. The PDP feels that of the Dapchi girls was a ‘Political-Scam’ that was staged by APC to score cheap political gain over the PDP ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The allegation they made in a series of tweets released on their Twitter handle. They even threatened to take the APC government and Buhari to the United Nations for a probe into the matter. The series of tweets reads:

Dapchi Girls Return: We condemn the @APCNigeria and certain officials in the @NPresidency for staging the abduction of the schoolgirls in Dapchi, Yobe State, for political purposes. It is wicked, callous and tormenting to use innocent schoolgirls as pawns.
While this failed Dapchi drama remains a poorly crafted tragicomedy: a scam of no equal dimension, Nigerians are not ready to forgive the @APCNigeria and the @NGRPresident for the torments inflicted on the girls and their parents, just to score a cheap political point.
Nigerians know that the main aim of this devilish act was to delude the public, set the stage for an orchestrated rescue, create a heroic myth and false sense of achievement around the @APCNigeria administration and serve as a spur for @MBuhari ’s declaration to contest in 2019
As a political party, we want to further state unequivocally that by all ramifications, this is a war crime against humanity and gross violation of human rights on the part of the @APCNigeria administration, all in the bid to push a selfish and ill-lucked 2019 ambition.
Official PDP NigeriaVerified account@OfficialPDPNig Nigerians are all aware that both the abduction and return of the schoolgirls were dramatically preceded by questionable withdrawal of troops and all security @HQNigerianArmy apparati at checkpoints and flashpoints in the Dapchi area. @APCNigeria
We therefore call on the @UN and the International Criminal Court to declare this evil by the @APCNigeria Federal Government a war crime against humanity and immediately commence investigation on the matter. We demand the arrest and prosecution of all those involved in this saga.
