The Nigerian Army has arrested a notorious gun runner in Kaduna State, as Troops of the Mobile Strike Team II deployed to the region, were able to overpowered and arrest the kingpin in his hideout in Rigachikun. In the last few weeks, there has been crisis between herdsmen and farmers not just in Kaduna State alone,but the entire country and most of this crisis and killings have been caused by these gun runners, who have been fingered as those behind the killings, kidnapping and raids in and around Kaduna State its environ.
If you could recall, the Inspector General of Police Idris Ibrahim acting on the directives from the Presidency, created a special unit along the Kaduna-Abuja road to checkmate the kidnapping and robbery activities going on along that axis, but the criminals still went about their nefarious act unchallenged. The relative peace being enjoyed in Kaduna State today, could in some way be attributed to the launching of Mobile Strike Force II who have been able to flush out all the criminal elements hiding in the state, and today, they made another breakthrough, arresting another notorious gun runner in the state. This is also coming just a few days after the Nigerian Police Force paraded another notorious gun runner and kidnapper ”Osama’ terrorizing Kogi State and the North Central State with his gang and some ammunition. He was also fingered to be a political thug for one of the Senators representing the State at the National Assembly.
In a released Statement by the Nigerian Army on their twitter handle, the police gave accounts of how the kingpin was arrested in Rigachikun, as they paraded the suspect with his weapon. The Nigerian Army Statement reads:

Troops of Mobile Strike Team II deployed in Kaduna arrested a notorious gun runner and recovered 2 AK 47 assault rifles with 38 rounds of 7.62mm special while on clearance operation at suspected armed bandits hideout in Rigachikun general area of Kaduna State on 19 March 2018.
Due to criminal activities taking place at the Rigachikun forest and environ the Army placed high surveillance in the general area to deny criminal freedom of operation.The success recorded so far is a proactive measures taking by the Army to dominate the general area and fish out criminals that are carrying out kidnapping, armed robbery and cattle rustling.
