Popular comedian Ayo Makun, has shared photos of his visit to the Defense Headquarters in Abuja, where he said he was received by Nigeria’s Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao and his team.
The man who is one of Africa’s most successful stand-up comedians and actor, while sharing the photos, did not reveal the purpose of his visit to the Defense Headquarters in Abuja.
He also did not make the date of the visit known, as the comedian who recently shut down the entire city of Lagos for his 50th birthday celebration, on Wednesday 1st September 2021, confirmed his visit to the Defense Headquarters in Abuja, where he said he was received by Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao and his team.
AY who shared a series of photos on his official social media page of his visit to the Defense Headquarters in Abuja, in his caption of the photos, thanked the officers for what he called ‘an honour’ to have been invited by the Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force. He also thanked the spokesperson of the Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet for a wonderful reception. This was his caption to the photos he shared of his visit to the Defense Headquarters in Abuja. He said:
“It was such an honour to have been invited by the Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao to the Defense Headquarters in Abuja.
It was a good opportunity to talk about insecurity in Nigeria, and the need for the sensitization and incorporation of youths who would like to serve the nation in different capabilities. Many thanks to Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet and his team for a wonderful reception,” he added.
No statement from the Defense Headquarters as at the time of this report, as the visit could be a ‘thank you’ visit from AY.
