Former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has called out President Buhari for allowing the airing of the popular reality TV show, BigBrother Najia. The former aide who is also a writer, had earlier criticized the show after an alleged sex scene between two housemates, Bambam and Teddy A appeared online. His reaction to it was him saying, he does not understand why people would call those caught having sex in the toilet as super stars rather tan condeming the act and call off the show.
Reno Omokri who is widely known to call out the President Buhari led Government, after condemning the show, took his vented out to President Buhari for promoting immorality. He said in his tweet, that the decision of the President to allowed the continued airing of the show is a deliberate attempt to disenfranchise the youths in Southern Nigeria. He said while the youths in the South are busy seeing the show, those in the North are registering for their voters car and collections.
But again my question is, if this man does not see this show on a daily basis or catch up the highlights on his phone, where does he get his information from? …like my people would say…if you no dey watch am how you take know…
He said:
President Buhari cares about immorality. Don’t forget that his government canceled a film village project in Kano because they considered it indecent. The only reason they allow
#BBNaija is because it prevents Southern youths from registering with INEC and picking up their PVCs!
