The crisis between Herdsmen and Farmers in Nigeria that has claimed more lives on both sides, will soon be a thing of the past, especially in Oyo State. The State just like any other State in Nigeria, have had its own share of Herdsmen attacks, but little or no deaths were recorded, and the Governor is not waiting for such a thing to happen before taking a proactive steps.

The move by the Abiola Ajimobi led government to establish a Hitech Ranching business in the State, could be that lasting solution that will help nip the crisis in the bud, not only in Oyo State, but Nigeria as awhole.

While other Nigerians, especially Governors talk about enacting bills to outlaw Herdsmen in their various State, the Oyo State Government is looking at the business side of it all. This was what made the Governor and some of his aides made the trip to Denmark to see how it is done their, and see how same can be replicated in Oyo State.

Governor Ajimobi who made this known via his social media page, put up some photos with a caption:

This visit to Denmark ?? is to consider possible options to resolve the problem of Herdsmen-farmers clash amongst other things.
The ranching method used by many countries like Denmark is a viable option.
With this visit, we have seen ranching at its best and would be bringing farmers from Denmark to Oyo State for ‘Knowledge Transfer’ that will enhance our local beef output in the local and international market.
