The Nigerian Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, earlier today, paid a condolence visit to families of late Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Kaita. The late Kaita was the former Governor of old Kaduna State who died early this year in his home town in Katsina.
Senator Saraki who put up pictures of his visit to the families and that of the Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari, was in the company of some Senators during the visit. Saraki met with the wife of late Kaita, Hajiya Yalwa Kaita, the wife and his family, where he prayed with them. He described the late elder statesman as a fearless and honest politician who once served as the governor of old Kaduna State. Saying:
I pray that the Almighty grant the late elder statesman a place in Aljannah Firdaus.
