British Boxer and former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua visits Makoko a popular slum community in Lagos State Nigeria, where he met with some children from a charity Organization known as Slum2school.
Anthony Joshua just like we reported on Friday, is clearly getting himself familiar with Lagos and Nigeria and Makoko which is a popular suburb in Lagos appears to be his first stop with his charity work.
Also, one of the interesting things we have noticed since his arrival is that rather than go around media houses and grant interviews (which I feel he is relegating for now), he has focused more on his mission to Nigeria, which is seeing how he can assist the less privileged in the country and possibly setting up his foundation as well.
Although these are not official statement from him or his team as regarding their mission to Nigeria, even though he does not owe anyone any explanation as to why he is visiting, from what we have seen so far, nothing could be further from the truth. He is definitely planning something big for the motherland Nigeria.
From the videos shared online, some of the personalities spotted with Anthony Joshua on his surprise visit to Makoko were Nigerian billionaire businessman, Tonye Cole, Red Media owner, Adebola Williams and later joined by Ace comedian, Ali Baba, and gospel singer, Timi Dakolo and others.
At the Slum2school where he later visited after taking a small walk around the Makoko environs, where he was mobbed by fans, Anthony Joshua shared some bit of history about his boxing and journey to becoming a world champion and why he decided to represent Britain and not Nigeria.

If there’s anything that he is going to take away from his trip to Makoko, is him finally realising how much he is love by Nigerians, and I am sure that with the way he was welcomed by the people of Makoko, it will not be too long before he pays another visit to Nigeria and Makoko.
His mother, sister and friends were all there at Makoko for the Slum2school charity Organization which has been attracting alot of International attention lately, especially by Nigerians living abroad, and Anthony Joshua just added himself to that growing list.
