Super Falcons star and one of the stars of the just concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup, Michelle Alozie is back in the spotlight again, and this time, she was spotted hanging out with one of Afrobeats’ biggest export, Davido.
Michelle Alozie who is right now, one of the best right backs in Women’s world football, on Monday 21st August 2023, took to her official social media handle to post a photo of her posing with Davido, in what seems to be backstage of the AfroNation concert in Detroit.
In the post, Michelle Alozie wore a white long-sleeve shirt, with lovely shorts and sneakers to match, as she was photographed holding up a replica of her Super Falcons Jersey alongside Davido, with a handshake emoji as a caption.
From the photo, it is clear that Michelle Alozie was one of those that attended the AfroNation festivals in Detroit, where Davido was recently spotted performing his hit ‘Unavailable’ with Latto.
Since the world cup, Michelle Alozie has become the most popular Super Falcons player, not just because of her beauty, but also for her talent, and her die-hard spirit and commitment through the tournament for the Super Falcons. But one of the major highlights of the just concluded FIFAWWC for Michelle Alozie, was when England and Chelsea forward, Lauren James maliciously stamped on her during the last-16 game against England.
The Chelsea attacker Lauren James was given her marching orders after the incident in the 87th minute of that match.
She initially received a yellow card but referee Melissa Borjas was sent to the pitch-side monitor by VAR and was forced to upgrade her decision to a red card.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, England managed to cling on through extra time and forced penalties, with Chloe Kelly striking an emphatic final spot-kick to secure a 4-2 win in the shootout.
Alozie reached out to James on social media, with the 21-year-old later replying: ‘All my love and respect to you. I am sorry for what happened.
‘Also, for our England fans and my teammates, playing with and for you is my greatest honour and I promise to learn from my experience.’
