A woman has been found dead at her home near Toulouse, France, as authorities say that her body was discovered Sunday morning in Blagnac, Haute-Garonne, AFP reports.
According to the report by AFP, on Sunday, the body of a young woman was found lifeless at her home in Haute-Garonne. A 52-year-old man was taken into police custody but nothing was said about whether or not it had anything to do with the murder.
Toulouse prosecutor’s office to RMC Crime, confirming information from La Dépêche du Midi.
According to reports, it was this individual who contacted the Samu after discovering the lifeless body of the one he claims to be his companion, a young 29-year-old mother with whom he did not, however, live. “Their relationship is not yet very clear,” explains the prosecution.
Very heavily alcoholic when help arrived, the man would have vaguely answered the firefighters’ questions before leaving, taking jewellery belonging to the victim, according to La Dépêche du Midi.
The criminal trail is not characterized
He was finally arrested, not far from the scene of the crime, by the police. Too drunk, he could not be heard immediately on Sunday. While he is still in police custody on Monday, his statements remain rather vague for the moment.
If an investigation for “homicide” was initially opened by the Toulouse prosecutor’s office and entrusted to departmental security, the investigators are no longer necessarily heading towards the criminal track this Monday evening, explains the prosecution. “We are waiting for a return of expertise. The door is not completely closed, but we might rather be dealing with non-assistance to anyone in danger.”
