A Lagos Police officer spotting the uniform of the Nigerian Police Force, was injured in a hit-and-run crash along Ilubinrin towards the third-mainland bridge, Lagos, prompting a serious traffic backlog Thursday morning.
The hit-and-run incident that saw one Lagos Police officer injured, was reported 6 hours ago, as the sad incident happened around Ilubinrin inward Simpson, close to the ever busy third mainland bridge, according to the report by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, (LASTMA).
Details about what led up to the collision were still being investigated as at the time of this report, and no information on the suspected hit-and-run driver and other injured persons.
All of those (the law enforcement officer) injured suffered non life-threatening injuries and are expected to survive.
It’s unclear if driving under the influence was a factor in the crash, but the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) has been informed for immediate intervention. More updates shortly.
