A fiery Bauchi auto crash has left at least 18 people burnt to death in Toro Local Government of the State, where a bus collided with a trailer on Wednesday..

The regional commander of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Yusuf Abdullahi, said the fiery Bauchi car accident happened in Narbodo village, according to NAN news agency, they reported him as saying.

The commander said that the fiery Bauchi auto crash involved a Toyota Hiace bus and a truck, in which the three occupants were uninjured.

According to him, the incident happened around 4:40 in the evening, and the officials of the agency arrived at the scene within seven minutes of its occurrence.

He blamed the accident on speeding which caused the two vehicles to collide.

“21 people were killed and there were 18 adults and three children. 8 of them were in the bus and they were burnt to ashes after it caught fire after it collided with the trailer,” he said.
