Security Threat: Buhari Summons Emergency Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned an emergency security meeting over the security threat in the country, especially in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Abuja. 

The president in a statement released on Sunday 30th October 2022, by the spokesperson to the President of Media & Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, the President has also postponed the commissioning of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) complex due to the meeting over security threat in Abuja. 

According to the statement, the security meeting with security chiefs will hold on Monday in the nation’s capital, Abuja, to further review and strengthen the security network in the country.

“The President, who was initially scheduled to commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) new Technology and Innovation Complex, will receive briefs from the security chiefs, and interject on areas that need more attention.

The commissioning of the NASENI complex will hold on a later date,” the statement added.
