NDLEA operatives in Lagos have yet again, uncovered another mode of drug concealment by drug traffickers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Ikeja.
According to the statement released by the Director of Media and Advocacy for National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Femi Babafemi on Saturday 29th October 2022, stated that the latest discovery was done by NDLEA operatives in Lagos. He did not mention names or how many suspects were arrested in the operation.
Femi Babafemi while sharing a video on his official social media handle showing how these drugs were uncovered, warned Nigerians not to take any luggage or consignment not packed in their presence or not thoroughly dismantled and searched from anyone to take abroad.
He shared the video online while promising to share full details of the latest drug burst on Sunday 30th October 2022.
He said:
“We insist, don’t take any luggage or consignment not packed in your presence or that you’ve not thoroughly dismantled and searched from anyone to take abroad. This video exposes yet another criminal mode of drug concealment in tomato can as uncovered by @ndlea_nigeria officers at Lagos airport. Details of this and more we’ll reveal in a statement on Sunday,” he said.
