Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee just gave their fans a big surprise, as they release a series of baby bump photos, to announce that they are expecting their first child together, a baby boy a.k.a ‘baby Buta’.
A visibly happy father to be, who is a singer and Actor, Rotimi taking to his social media page on Tuesday 7th September 2021, put up a series of photos of his partner revealing a huge baby bump with a caption that reads:
“My greatest gift has been you. You changed my life and now we are beautifully linked forever to raise a little us. I pray our son has your glow Your heart, Your mind, and your spirit. I will protect you and our son with everything I have!,” he said.
He continued in another post:
“You belong in a museum, baby …. Buttascotch prince on the way,” he added.
Both Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee posted similar photos from the covers of People Magazine, showing that they have already granted an exclusive interview about their relationship and possibly the baby with the magazine. But nothing has been released yet as of the time of this report.
Vanessa Mdee also took to her private social media account to express her joy at becoming a mother for the first time. She shared similar photos with Rotimi, where she captioned them with some Bible verse, saying:
“The greatest gift of all, THANKYOU JESUS for choosing us – it is a true true honor. We are overjoyed
Isaiah 55:2 – Al your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children,” she added.
Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee went viral a few months ago, when they posted a short video on social media showing off their engagement night.
Rotimi had proposed to his Tanzanian girlfriend, Vanessa Mdee.
Rotimi in the video was spotted going down on one knee to propose to Vanessa Mdee. And the singer who burst into tears as shown in the video, said Yes to Rotimi’s marriage proposal.
The Power actor, Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee made their relationship official in 2019, as the celebrities confirmed the rumour of them dating, sharing a photo taken from a date night.
The two who have been teasing their followers on many occasions on their separate Instagram handles about their relationship, and while fans were guessing they could be dating, the two hit Instagram in 2019 to officially let the whole world know they are in a relationship.
Venessa Mdee had revealed in a recent interview with Millard that she met Power actor, Rotimi through a friend at the Essence Festival after-party in the US, where the singer was invited to perform.
She said within two days of meeting him, she knew he was her husband.
“It took me just two days for me to know that he was my husband,” she said. “You know when you are in love with somebody. Yes, I’m in love with him,” she said.
“it felt like we had known each other for years.”
She adds: I am not a young girl, so I know what it feels like when you meet someone who you will stay with for life”.
Before this, the two love birds have always commented on each others Instagram posts, with Rotimi doing more of that, while Vanessa Mdee teases her followers of the rare opportunity of meeting and dating one of Hollywood’s superstars.

Both Rotimi and Vanessa in a report by People, revealed exclusively to the magazine about their unborn child, saying:
“We are super excited to welcome our son. As first-time parents, everything about this experience has been a brand-new challenge,” they say. “We love it.”
Mdee, 33, adds of her “very smooth” pregnancy journey so far, “He’s been so good to us. No real pain or symptoms. Some funny cravings and food aversions here and there. It’s been much harder in these final weeks because he’s preparing his arrival, but all in all we’ve been super blessed.”
