Ahmed Musa, will today mark his 100 international caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, when he starts against Cape Verde. This comes a few days after he celebrated 11-years since his first call up for the national team, which was the then U-20 team.
Ahmed Musa who has made the starting line-up in the selection made by coach Gernot Rohr ahead of the Nigeria Versus Cape Verde game today, will be joining the elite team and century of caps club who have put in 100 caps for the Super Eagles.
The former Kano Pillars and Leicester City forward whose name Nigerians will never forget in a hurry, given his outstanding performance at the last FIFA world cup (Russia 2018 World Cup), a few days ago, made a public post thanking God for how far other of his teammates and himself have come.
Posting a throwback photo of himself 11-years ago with then U-20 Eagles, he captioned the photo saying:
“Look how far we have come from 11 years ago. We are all doing well as individuals & unstoppable as a team.
Excited for what the future still holds for us all. Come on team let’s keep winning,” he said.
Ahmed Musa who now plays for Fatih Karagümrük S.K. is starting today, after coming in from the bench in the last game against Liberia in which Nigeria won 2-0.
This was the line-up released a few minutes ago for the game between Cape Verde and Nigeria.
The Nigeria Vs Cape Verde line-up comprises mostly the names of players who are not based in the United Kingdom, due to the coronavirus red-zone restrictions.
