Manchester City extends their winning run to twenty matches, after they defeated West Ham 2-1 on Saturday. The win now sees them go 13 points clear at the top of the English Premier League Table.
Pep Guardiola side who are clearly in control at the top, were in full control of the game, and it was John Stones’ second-half strike that gave City the victory over a resilient West Ham United.
Stones fired home his fourth goal of the season from Riyad Mahrez’s neat lay-off.
West Ham had fought back through Michail Antonio after City’s goal before the break which was scored by Ruben Dias.
Manchester City extends winning runs in their 26th game of the season, as they continue their unbeaten record which now stretches to 27 games and they will equal their longest run without defeat if they do not lose against Wolves on Tuesday.
Speaking after the game, Pep said: “Every person who saw the game – it was really tough, difficult, the opponent is incredibly difficult. Big compliment to West Ham, after 26 fixtures to be in the top four it’s because of a lot of work.

West Ham remain 4th with 45 points from 26 games, but could drop to 5th depending on tomorrow’s result between Chelsea and Manchester United who are also fighting for the top four race, alongside Liverpool.
