British rapper, Stefflon Don has listed her top three songs from Burna Boy’s new album, The African Giant, and although some fans did not agree with her list, the majority did, but with some additions on top of her top three.
The British-Jamaican rapper who has taken her relationship with Burna Boy public and has never failed to show her support to her man on and off the social media, on Saturday, July 27th 2019 took to her Instagram account to share her views on the new project. Having listened to the full album, she decided to seek for the fans opinion by revealing her top three of the 19-track album, while asking them to post theirs in the comment section. This was her post:
“This shit on REPEAT! My top 3 songs has to be OMO, COLLATERAL DAMAGE and DIFFERENT! Whats yours ????”
The track: COLLATERAL DAMAGE, talks about the corruption in Nigeria, and how Government officials continue to loot and the citizens are scared to protest or do something about their sufferings, which is him sampling something from the late Afrobeat King, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
The track DIFFERENT which featured Angelique Kidjo, and Damian Marley as expected, is topping the most liked song on the 19-tracks and Steff London has added that to her favourites.
Burna Boy since dropping his new album the African Giant album on Friday, an album which has been a long time coming, has been well received as the Nigerian keeps setting the pace for the new generation of Afrobeat sounds.
The songs on the latest 19 track album are mostly new songs and Afrobeat sounds with some star-studded collaborations, with the likes of Future, Angelique Kidjo, Damian Marley, Jeremih, YG, Manifest, Jorja Smith and more make the list.
