Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z have a few hours ago, got everyone talking yet again, as the two matched up in some colourful Halloween costume to celebrate black excellence and hero of the black race in sports
The couple which seems to be enjoying working together, shared yet another Halloween costume, where they both portrayed two American greats in Sports, as Beyonce dressed up as Florence Griffith Joyner, the late track and field athlete, spotting her ensemble from 1988, which saw her set world records for the 100m and 200m, and all these records still stand.
On his part, Jay-Z was dressed as Tommie Smith paying tribute to the sporting icon, displaying the famous legendary Black Power Salute, which was and still is, the symbol of protest against racism in the US, which Tommie Smith displayed at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, alongside John Carlos.
Beyonce embellished herself in one-legged pink Adidas unitard, just like Florence, and displaying her track number 371, to get a perfect picture of the late track and field legend. She also emulated a number of Florence’s iconic poses during her successful sporting career.
She captioned the photo with:
‘Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends,’ ‘Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always.” She wrote.
Only a few days ago, Beyonce shared a photo of her first Halloween costume, appearing as Toni Braxton, reenacting the 1993 album cover of the soul Queen, that got the social media buzzing and even Toni Braxton trending for like the first time!
