Charlie Puth used his new Changes music video to announce life-changing news.
On Thursday the 33-year-old singer revealed that he and wife Brooke Sansone are expecting their first child, Daily Mail reports.
It comes shortly after the couple’s one-year wedding anniversary on September 7.
In the video Charlie Puth stands next to Brooke, 26, on a life-size red toy keyboard for the special announcement.
Brooke was clad in a ribbed red sweater and blue jeans, coordinating with the music artist’s button-up blue shirt, faded jeans and red tie.
She cradled her stomach before her husband affectionately looked at her and then placed his hands on top of hers.
On Instagram Charlie Puth captioned a snippet of the video, ‘There’s been some changes…’
Per a Changes press release, the accompanying music video sees Charlie ‘reflect on ‘Changes’ both personal and professional with a sweet cameo from his real life wife Brooke Sansone.’
In an October 8 Instagram post, the musician teased, ‘Changes out 10.16. This is the song I wanted you to hear first because it’s a perfect way to bring all of you into the most beautiful, colorful part of my life, which happens to be right now. You will soon know why…’
The single is the first from his upcoming fourth studio album, Whatever’s Clever!, slates for a March release.
Ahead of his wedding anniversary, the New Jersey native paid an early tribute to his wife.
He shared photos from the special day and added a heartfelt caption reading, ‘I can’t believe it’s almost been a year little Brooke!!
‘I am so lucky to be your husband, you have CHANGED my life completely. I love you forever and ever and ever. There’s so much to look forward to.’
Meanwhile, on their actual anniversary date, Brook shared a social media post of her own
She wrote alongside professional snapshots, ‘Moments from the day we said “I do”… so many amazing memories since, and countless more to come!
‘Can’t wait for the crazy year ahead. i love you melon.’
The couple tied the knot at Charlie’s Montecito, California family home.
Following the ceremony, Brooke spoke with Vogue saying, ‘We chose the Puth family residence because we just knew Montecito would offer the perfect backdrop.’
The couple said ‘I do’ during a ceremony in the driveway of the home, and exchanged gold rings with inset diamonds.
‘We wanted the ceremony to be super simple, but memorable. Charlie and I were oddly relaxed, and at peace once we were both up there,’ Brooke explained.
‘When I was standing up there I have never felt more connected to Charlie — it was like time stopped. Without realizing it, we had both included the same line in our vows: “It’s always been you,”‘ she shared.
