Multiple Grammy award winner, Beyoncé has finally sent out a birthday shoutout to her former bandmate and bestie, Kelly Rowland as she marks her 44th birthday.
Beyoncé, who recently expanded her Carter tour, had on Wednesday 13th 2025, taken to her Instagram handle to share a series of Photos of what looked like a reunion of the defunct Destiny Child members at Kelly Rowland’s birthday bash.
Beyoncé simply captioned the photos which had Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and the cowboy singer herself with “birthday bestie”.
The post by Beyonce comes just a few days after Kelly Rowland marked her 44th with an artistic photoshoot that masterfully blended playfulness with sophistication.
Kelly Rowland who took things to new heights, got her inspiration from a notable 2018 LOVE Magazine editorial featuring Naomi Campbell and Adwoa Aboah, transforming the concept into a personal statement of confidence and grace.
She posed with a bunch of chrome green balloons, including two strategically placed ones that spelled out “44” across her chest.
Michelle Williams who appeared in the photos shared by Beyonce, had spoken about her relationship with Beyonce and Kelly during an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, spilling the beans about how she talks with her close friends and collaborators when she was asked about her group chat with fellow former Destiny’s Child members Beyoncé, 43, and Kelly Rowland, 44.
“What’s the Destiny’s Child group text like?” Jennifer Hudson, 43, asked.
“It is pure, it’s friendship, it’s all of those things,” Williams replied.
Hudson then inquired, “Who’s the most talkative out of you three?”
“Who’s the most talkative? Surprisingly me,” the artist replied, to which Hudson added, “I feel like it’s you, Michelle.”
However, Williams suggested that Rowland, 44, could also win the title of the most talkative Destiny’s Child member.
“I don’t know Kelly now,” Williams said with Hudson agreeing, “Kelly can talk.”
“Yep, yep, yep,” the special guest said. “It depends.”
The R&B trio, who released their final album Destiny Fulfilled on Nov. 15, 2004, have remained close friends over the years.
In December, Williams spoke to PEOPLE about Beyoncé and Rowland supporting her by attending the opening night of her musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her, where she plays the role of Viola Van Horn.
Williams made her return to Broadway last year, having performed in theater for the past 20 years.
“It was an absolute joy having them there because I know they’re fans of the movie,” she said at the time, adding, “It was really a joy to have them come to see something that I’m equally excited about as well.”
Williams continued, “Having them there, I felt anchored. We obviously have not been touring together for years, but it took me back to the time when I’d been with them on stage.”
“Even though they weren’t on stage with me, I felt so grounded. It’s giving me some fuel for the rest of my run in the show,” she added.
Speaking about the production on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Williams gushed about how her love for the cast and crew enables her to push through shows despite being tired.
“We do eight shows a week,” she said. “So even when I’m tired I just love going to work because I know somebody is gonna make me laugh or I’m gonna make somebody laugh and we get through it.”
“It’s a joy,” the actress continued. “It’s a blessing, it’s another open door that I’m just grateful to have.”
Williams also spoke about how Rowland encouraged her to take the role on Broadway.
“Our relationship might have been threatened if I didn’t do this show,” she joked before stating that many of her loved ones encouraged her to return to Broadway after six years.
The star also spoke again about Beyoncé and Rowland attending her opening night.
“I would rather be performing with them if I’m gonna be performing at all. They’re just so strengthening,” she said, adding that their presence gave her “wind for my sails to go on.
