4035 New COVID-19 Cases Reported In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have reported and confirmed a total of 4035 new COVID-19 cases of the coronavirus and 2 deaths in the country.

According to the daily report by the health agency, the 4035 new COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday 22nd December 2021, now put the total number of confirmed cases since the inception of the pandemic to 231,413 confirmed cases and 211853 as of the number of discharged cases.

The death toll also stands at 2991, all recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 4035 new cases were reported from 15 states and the distribution of these cases across these states and the federal capital territory, shows the following:

According to the health agency, Wednesday’s report includes:
Additional 2,536 confirmed cases reported from Lagos state for 13th (37), 14th (365), 15th (197), 16th (577), 18th (742) & 19th (618) December,

42 confirmed cases reported from Akwa Ibom state for 20th (13) & 21st (29) December, 9 confirmed & 6 discharged cases reported from Enugu state for 21st December, 0 cases were reported from Gombe, Osun and Sokoto State
