828 New COVID-19 Cases Reported In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have reported and confirmed a total of 828 new COVID-19 cases of the coronavirus in the country.

According to the daily report by the health agency, the 828 new COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday 18th December 2021, now put the total number of confirmed cases since the inception of the pandemic to 223483 confirmed cases and 211522 as of the number of discharged cases. The death toll also stands at 2984, all recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 828 new cases were reported from 14 states and the distribution of these cases across these states and the federal capital territory, shows the following:

According to the report by NCDC, today’s report includes:
Backlog of cases reported from Delta state include backlog from 7th – 17th December 2021, with 0 cases reported from Bauchi, Ondo, Osun, and Sokoto States.
