Brittany Matthews shares the first snap of her newborn baby girl with Mahomes, as she announced her arrival with partners.
Brittany Matthews shares the photo on Sunday, February 21. telling fans that the newborn, already named Sterling Skye Mahomes was born on February 20.
The parents shared the same photo of Brittany cradling the newborn. She had a cute necklace that featured the baby girl’s name as the little girl grabbed daddy’s finger. “Sterling Skye Mahomes. 2/20/21 6lbs 11oz,” she wrote alongside the photo of the tiny hand.
Patrick simply captioned his post, “Sterling Skye Mahomes 2/20/21 ❤️.” His 20-year-old brother, Jackson Mahomes, was one of the first to congratulate him
“YOU WILL BE THE BEST DAD!!! CANT WAIT FOR ALL THE ADVENTURES!!” Jackson wrote. He already nicknamed the little girl “STER STER🖤.”
Despite the Super Bowl loss, Mahomes’s spirit couldn’t be dampened. He called into 610 Sports Radio Kansas City and admitted that he was “super excited” about the new experience.
“It’s gonna be something special, and I’m excited for the journey of trying to find ways to better myself and become the best dad that I can be,” Patrick said after the big game.
The couple announced that they were expecting on social media as well. Brittany shared a pic of Patrick and her holding a sonogram photo on September 29. “Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” she captioned the pic. Mahomes followed suit and posted it with a heart emoji.
Brittany and Patrick went on to have a super cute gender reveal party. They had their two dogs, Silver and Steele, walk down an aisle of white paper. They left pink paw prints, indicating that they were expecting a girl.
