Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Mo Abudu has announced that Castle&Castle, Nigeria’s first legal procedural series has been renewed for its second season on Netflix. The new series which is season two, is said to be at the development stage and should be out by 2021.
The Nigerian media mogul, Mo Abudu who has spearheaded some of the blockbuster movies in Africa such as Wedding Party, Your Excellence, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, Chief Daddy and others, broke the news on Tuesday 14th July 2020, where she took to her social media to share the good news to her followers.
Posting a cover photo of Castle&Castle, which showed major characters such as veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo (Mr Castle) and beautiful Dakore Egbuson-Akande and others, captioned the cover photo with the good news, saying:

Super excited about this month of July. Such great news to share with you all. Guess what guys CASTLE & CASTLE, Nigeria’s first legal procedural series did so well it’s getting a season 2 and it’s EXCLUSIVE TO NETFLIX💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽. We are in development guys. It will be coming to you in 2021💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽,” she said.
Mo Abudu who recently became the first African Nigerian to land multiple Netflix deals, which is to create two original series and multiple branded films, premiered season one of the Castle&Castle 7th March 2019 on DStv and Startimes. But with her deal with Netflix earlier this year, Castle & Castle will be exclusively available on Netflix, according to the media magnate.
The series Castle&Castle, is a drama series set in a law firm in Lagos, Nigeria. It follows the character of Remi and Tega Castle acted by Richard Mofe Damijo and Dakore Akande who were leading the law firm, and while the firm struggled to stay afloat, the couple leading it, pursued different cases based on what they think is best for the company.
The season one had Kenneth Gyang, Tope Oshin and Niyi Akinmolayan as directors, and it was written by Craig Freimond, Yewande Omotose and Adze Ugah.
