COVID-19: NCDC Reports 290 New Cases With Total Now 46, 867

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has once again, reported 575 new cases of the coronavirus across the country, taking the total confirmed positive cases so far to 29,286

The NCDC announced on Monday 6th July 2020, on its official social media handle that 575 new cases have been recorded in some states of the federation.

The latest figures just like the previous updates from the national public health institute, which is responsible for the prevention, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks in Nigeria, shows Lagos with the highest daily positive cases. 

The State recorded the highest number of positive cases out of the 575 new cases confirmed on Wednesday.

The state recorded 123 cases out of the positive cases confirmed on Monday, with FCT recording 100 cases to rank the second highest.

The update from the national public health institute, also shows that the 575 new cases were recorded in 21 states, including the FCT.

The distribution of these new cases across the 21 states, shows the following:

This figure also showed that about 11,828 patients have been discharged across the federation, with 654 deaths so far.
