Beyonce on Sunday took to her social media page to celebrate mothers day, as she shared some lovely throwback photos of her mother Tina Lawson, her cousins, aunties, and other relatives to wish them all a happy mother’s day.
.The carefully arranged snapshot, apparently were taken in the 1980s, was accompanied by the quote: ‘MY MAMA WAS A SAVAGE, GOT THIS SH*T FROM TINA’.
That line comes from Beyonce’s feature appearance on a new charity remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s hit single Savage.
Beyonce’s Mother’s Day Instagram post to Tina Lawson also included a dizzying collage full of pictures showing Tina through the years.
“‘Dear Mama, I am thankful for every part of you and every second I share with you. Thank you for giving me life and thank you for expanding my consciousness. I would not have been able to do any of what I’ve done in my life without your strength, your wisdom and your prayers,’ wrote Beyonce in the caption.
‘My biggest goal in life is for my children to feel the love you make us all feel. I appreciate you and thank you with every ounce of admiration and respect. To anyone reading, please thank and appreciate your mom today and everyday.‘
She added: ‘I’m sending all my love and positivity to anyone missing their angel moms today. I love y’all deep. Gang gang gang gang and thank you for all the Mother’s Day wishes. Sending Big Texas hugs, Mama B’ she added.
This Mother’s Day Tina also fired up her own Instagram page to shower praise on her eldest daughter whom she called ‘a phenomenal Mom !’
Tina wrote: ‘She lets me know that i did something right in raising and helping to raise (Kelly) three amazing mothers She makes me proud everyday!’

Tina Lawson, whose younger daughter Solange Knowles is also a singing star, revealed on the Tamron Hall Show this week that ‘We all got tested’ for coronavirus.
She shared: ‘We’ve gotten the results back and everybody is okay so I hope that we can get together this Mother’s Day and have dinner together.’
