The Supreme Court on Monday 20th January 2020 affirmed Governor Ganduje’s Election as the Governor of Kano State, under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A seven-man panel of the Supreme court was unanimous in their judgment affirming Governor Ganduje’s election, against the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Justice Sylvester Ngwuta held, in the lead judgment that the appellant failed to provide any cogent reason to warrant the setting aside of the earlier decisions of the lower courts, which upheld Ganduje’s election.
