The First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has congratulated United Nations Deputy Secretary General, Mrs Amina Mohammed for winning the World Leader Prize at the Global Citizenship Award at the Royal Albert Hall, London, United Kingdom.

Mrs Aisha Buhari in a statement released on Sunday 5th January 2020, said:

“I wish to extend a message of congratulations to Mrs. Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations as she wins the World Leader Prize at Global Citizen Award Ceremony at London, UK.

Mrs. Mohammed is an epitome of the Nigerian woman and is recognized for her advocacy on issues of development especially as they relate to women, children and the underprivileged” she added.

The Global Citizen Prize is an awards show that shines a light on world leaders, artists, business leaders, and youth activists who keep the world’s poor at the forefront of their life’s work.

Mrs Amina Mohammed is a British-Nigerian and one of the world leading women in world politics, and proudly Nigerian!
