Breaking: Supreme Declares Hope Uzodinma As Imo Governor

The Governor of Imo State, Governor Emeka Ihedioha has been honoured with a Chieftaincy title by the people of Oguta. The Chieftaincy title which was conferred on the Governor by the traditional ruler and elders from the area, was the ‘Ogbuagu title.’

The Governor who was joined by his wife and children on Sunday 29th December 2019 to receive the title, posted some photos from the event on his Instagram page, as he celebrated with this caption:

I am delighted by the grand reception I received yesterday from the good people of Oguta.

I am equally thrilled by my conferment of the Ogbuagu title by the Elders and Traditional Rulers of Oguta.

This show of love is remarkable, as the Ogbuagu title is a venerated endowment in our traditional Igbo society.

Oguta is well known for its rich cultural heritage and abundant human and natural resources.

Our administration will not relent in our deliberate efforts to make Oguta realize its full potentials as a foremost tourist destination in Nigeria and indeed Africa.

Thanks to my brother Governor Godwin Obaseki who joined me alongside former Governors Achike Udenwa & Ikedi Ohakim, amongst other Imo Stakeholders.

Imo Bu Nke Anyi”.

The Chieftaincy title comes just a few weeks after the Governor visited and inspected the Oguta Lake Motel and Golf Resort, where he promised to rebuild the resort which according to him, provides the state with a lot of historical and tourism value.

This must be the people thanking the governor for making their community one of his focal points in terms of development and transformation of the state.

…congratulations to the Governor and the people of Imo State.
