Hollywood actor and stand-up comedian, Kevin Hart opens up about the horrible accident that nearly took his life, as he reflects on the near-death experience and how it has changed his views about life in general.
Kevin Hart who had earlier declined an appearance to an award show at the L.A. Mission’s 9th Annual Legacy of Vision Gala where he was honoured alongside his wife, Eniko Hart for their work with the organization, had said he was still receiving intensive outpatient therapy as his body is not quite up to the task. But he is now speaking out about his serious car accident in his first social media post since the accident in September in an emotional video on Instagram Tuesday night documenting his recovery. He said:
“When God talks, you gotta listen,” Hart said in his narration of the video. “I swear, life is funny. Because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the thing that you needed most. And in this case, I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down.
“After my accident, I see things differently,” Hart said
“I see life from a whole new perspective. My appreciation for life is through the roof,” Hart continues. “I’m thankful for my family, my friends. I’m thankful for the people that simply ride with me and have been with me. Because you stood by me, my fans. I’m thankful for all of your love and support.”
“Don’t take today for granted because tomorrow’s not promised,” Hart said. “I’m thankful for simply still being here, on the road to being a bigger and better version of me. I’m looking forward to an amazing 2020,” he ended the video.
