George Weah has on Thursday launched a Digital Portal registration at the University of Liberia as students for the first time will now do all necessary registration online.
The President of Liberia George Weah while launching the new portal said the days of manual registration which the University is used to are over. He said:
“Earlier today, President George Weah launched the digital online portal for registration at the University of Liberia. This is one of the President’s promises being fulfilled.
It can be recalled that earlier this year, Students of the University of Liberia protested and demanded the resignation of the President of the University, Dr. Ophelia Weeks due to her failure to allow them register after the deadline for registration had elapse.
The President was very instrumental in resolving the melee and as a long term remedy, subsequently instructed the Minister of Finance to allocate funding for the establishment of a digital online platform.

For the first time in the existence of the University of Liberia, students will now have the opportunity to register online instead of the manual registration process they had endure since the establishment of the University.”
