Dr Idiat Adebule has been reported to have dumped her Boss and Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode for his opponent in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primaries in Lagos State. Mr. Jibe Sanwo-Olu.
An unconfirmed report suggests that Dr Idiat Adebule who ran on the same Governorship ticket with Governor Ambode in 2015, has made a U-turn throwing her support behind Mr Jide Sanwo-Olu who is the most preferred candidate by Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr Idiat Adebule who was at her ward in Iba Local Government Area of Lagos State where she participated in the Governorship direct primaries endorsed Sanwo-Olu, while pointing to the fact that since the leadership of the party has chosen a man and it is that man that she will support and follow.
No official statement has been released to back up this information, but the news going around suggests that she has dumped her Boss Ambode for Sanwo-Olu in the ongoing Governorship primaries.
Although nothing has been said as to who is likely to be the running mate of Jibe Sanwo-Olu in the 2019 Governorship election, Dr Adebule’s decision to dump her Boss might be her own way of telling Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Jibe Sanwo-Olu that she is ready to submit herself for service and possibly be the Deputy Governor to Jibe Sanwo-Olu if the APC wins the Governorship seat come 2019 in Lagos State.
…Dr Idiat Adebule clearly knows how to play her game, even though her Local Government and Senatorial zone has been one of the worst and if not the least developed zones in Lagos under the Ambode Government, she careless if her relationship with her Boss goes south afterward, as long as she remains relevant in the political game of Lagos, she is good.
