Timothée Chalamet pumped up the crowd while appearing at the Comic Con Experience (CCXP) entertainment convention in São Paulo, Brazil, on December 5, Daily Mail reports.
According to the report by Daily Mail, the actor, 29, was in the Latin city to promote his new movie, Marty Supreme, and got things hopping by doing a dance inspired by Soulja Boy’s 2007 hit Crank That (Soulja Boy).
Missing in the wings was Kylie Jenner who hasn’t been seen with the actor in several weeks, leading to speculation that the two have gone their separate ways.
But Timothée Chalamet didn’t let that sway him as he took to the stage in a bright green and yellow jacket and blue track pants, colors that mirrored Brazil’s national flag.
Footage of the convention shared on X show the star removing his jacket to reveal a gray hoodie with USA printed in red on the back, and tossed the jacket into the enthusiastic crowd. He soon whipped off the sweatshirt and tossed that into the hands of a fan too, greeting the audience in a white tank top with a spirted ‘Yeah!’
Fans were clearly delighted to see the actor so happy and spontaneous.
Timothée Chalamet has been busy promoting Marty Supreme in recent weeks ahead of the film’s December 25 release.
He plays the titular role of Marty Mauser, a brash and ambitious young Jewish table tennis player who hustles his way through New York City in the 1950s. The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A’zion.
But Timothée Chalamet continues to stay mum on the status of his relationship with the Kylie Cosmetics mogul.
Breakup rumors have been swirling around the couple for weeks, ever since the Dune actor failed to show up at Jenner’s mother’s lavish 70th birthday bash.
However, a source told Us Weekly that ‘he wasn’t at Kris’ party because he is filming two huge projects right now and is working. He has been on set for Dune, but he and Kylie FaceTime every day’ and that things have been ‘very serious’ between the pair.
The rumors persist, especially as they have not been seen together since October 8 when they attended a baseball game at Yankee Stadium between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Chalamet told Vogue he ‘will not talk about’ the romance, clarifying, ‘I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say.’
The 28-year-old makeup mogul and actor met at Paris Fashion week in January 2023 but weren’t romantically linked until the following April after Jenner’s car was spotted at his home, per TMZ.
They made their first public appearance in September of that year while packing on the PDA in a VIP section at Beyonce’s concert in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.
While they have no problem making out in public, Chalamet and Jenner have kept their relationship off social media and she has avoided mentioning him on her family’s Hulu show, The Kardashians.
Chalamet and Jenner have been spotted together on numerous occasions including the U.S. Open and his beloved Knicks games, and private dates in New York City.
Jenner has accompanied the actor to awards shows like the Golden Globes and The Oscars, but they have made a habit of not doing red carpets together.
The one exception to this rule was in Rome on May 7 at the David Di Donatello Awards where Chalamet received an honorary award. They were holding hands and posed for photos together.
At the Golden Globes, Jenner was Chalamet’s date for the night, but she waited until after the red carpet to join him at his side.
‘Kylie didn’t want to make it about them. She wanted this night to be all about Timothee, how it was intended to be,’ a source told Page Six.
Jenner has two children, daughter Stormi, seven, and a son, Aire, three, with her former boyfriend Travis Scott.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken about the kiss she shares with Chalamet in Marty Supreme and what her kids thought about it.
The actors play love interests in the highly anticipated movie, and paparazzi spotted Paltrow and Chalamet filming an intimate scene in Central Park, which did not go down well with Apple, 21, and Moses, 19.
Paltrow shares her bundles of joy with her 48-year-old ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
When asked about the photos by TV show Extra, the actress said, ‘My daughter thought it was very bad-ass and my son was like, “Oh, my God, Mom.” He was like, “This is too much.”‘
