Sydney Sweeney posted a racy photo to Instagram on Saturday.
The 28-year-old actress uploaded a carousel featuring an image of her covering her bare breasts with her French manicured hands.
Sydney Sweeney flashed a megawatt smile in the glitzy photo, in which she wore a nude-colored corset while a glam squad doted on her.
The Euphoria sensation wore diamond hoop earrings and her face was fully made up as her blonde hair tumbled down her back in subtle curls.
The post was captioned, ’rounding out nyc with @housemaidmovie.’
It comes after she finally addressed the pushback on her American Eagle jeans campaign, which many likened to her peddling white supremacy.
On July 23 Sweeney, in partnership with clothing brand American Eagle, unveiled a new campaign with the slogan ‘Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans.’
Speaking with People this week, Sydney Sweeney admitted that staying silent about the controversial ad only fueled the uproar.
‘I was honestly surprised by the reaction,’ she said. ‘I did it because I love the jeans and love the brand. I don’t support the views some people chose to connect to the campaign.
‘Many have assigned motives and labels to me that just aren’t true.’
Sweeney emphasized that she’s ‘against hate’ and ‘leads with kindness,’ and the reason she’s confronting the issue now is to banish the negative energy.
‘Anyone who knows me knows that I’m always trying to bring people together. I’m against hate and divisiveness,’ the star insisted.
She explained, ‘In the past my stance has been to never respond to negative or positive press but recently I have come to realize that my silence regarding this issue has only widened the divide, not closed it.
‘So, I hope this new year brings more focus on what connects us instead of what divides us.’
The campaign saw Sydney Sweeney model a coordinating denim jacket and trousers for the advert, writing in an Instagram caption, ‘I have great jeans…now you can too.’
In an accompanying video, she buttons up her jeans and recites, ‘Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color… my genes are blue.’
The busty siren muses in another seconds-long outtake: ‘My body’s composition is determined by my genes.’
The campaign provoked consumers, with one critic calling the clip ‘one of the loudest and most obvious racialized dog whistles we’ve seen and heard in a while.’
American Eagle defended the ad, posting on social media, ‘[The campaign] “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans” is and always was about the jeans.
‘Her jeans. Her story. We’ll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.’
In The Housemaid, due in theaters December 19, the actress plays Millie, a live-in housemaid trying to start fresh and leave her past behind.
Her character works for Seyfried’s seemingly polished character Nina Winchester, who is married to Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar).
Things go left, putting Millie in a dangerous position when the Winchesters’ luster begins to chip away.
A logline describes the movie as a ‘seductive game of secrets, scandal and power.’
Director Paul Feig told People executive producers and co-stars Sweeney and Seyfried’s onscreen chemistry is ‘through the roof.’
‘They are both such powerful talents and work so well off each other that you very quickly get sucked into their onscreen world,’ he shared.
The movie is based on the Freida McFadden novel of the same name, published in 2022.
