Kourtney Kardashian chose a heart-melting way to mark her youngest son Rocky Thirteen’s second birthday on Instagram.
The 46-year-old Kourtney Kardashian welcomed her little boy about a year and a half after she married his father, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, at a lavish ceremony in Italy.
Meanwhile the reality TV superstar shares her three older children Mason, 15, Penelope, 13, and Reign, 10, with her ex-fiancé Scott Disick.
To mark her toddler’s big day this Thursday, Kourtney treated her fans to a never-before-seen photo of her cradling him in the delivery room.
Kourtney Kardashian has scrupulously refrained from showing Rocky’s face on social media, a choice she stuck to in her latest post, using a heart emoji to mask his features.
However Kourtney’s own glowing complexion was in full view as she playfully pulled a pout for the cameras, with her hair gathered up into a set of twin buns.
In her caption she quoted the entire text of the baby book On The Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman, which she had presumably read to Rocky.
‘On the night you were born, / The moon smiled with such wonder / That the stars peeked in to see you / And the night wind whispered, / “Life will never be the same,”‘ the verse in the picture book begins.
‘Because there had never been anyone like you…ever in the world. / So enchanted with you were the wind and the rain / That they whispered the sound of your wonderful name,’ the volume continues.
Kourtney Kardashian recently delivered an understated response to social media trolls who took aim at her decision to keep Rocky’s face off social media.
She quietly waded into a debate in the comments section of an Instagram album that included a photo of Rocky with a pumpkin emoji covering his face.
One exasperated viewer wrote: ‘Still acting like we care what the kid looks like,’ but another shot back: ‘This is a sign you care btw’ – in a comment Kourtney liked.
On an episode of The Kardashians earlier this year, Kourtney Kardashian candidly discussed the process of integrating her and Travis’ blended family.
Along with being a mother of four, Kourtney is also stepmother to Travis’ children Alabama, 19, and Landon, 22, whom he shares with his first wife Shanna Moakler.
Travis also adopted Shanna’s now 26-year-old daughter Atiana De La Hoya, whom she had brought into the world with boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
‘I feel like blending, in the beginning, is a lot of adjusting for each person. Us in their space and then us being out of our space and into a new space,’ Kourtney admitted.
‘But it’s really good, but I do want to get this going. And my stepkids have lived in their home for their whole lives,’ the Poosh founder explained.
‘It’s new, all living together in one house, which is nice. It is change but I think we’re at a really amazing place with it,’ added Kourtney Kardashian.
