As the romance between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau heats up, it has been revealed that the pop star, 40, and the former Canadian prime minister, 53, are ‘always FaceTiming and messaging each other’ according to The Sun.
This comes after Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau couple were spotted packing on major PDA and making out aboard her yacht during a steamy date off the shore of Santa Barbara, California.
Over the weekend, insiders told the outlet that the pair’s romance started back at the beginning of the summer and they were already secretly dating when they were seen together for the first time.
‘They haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together as she’s on tour, but they’re constantly in contact,’ the source revealed.
The insider added that Trudeau is surprised someone as ‘glamorous’ as Katy is interested in him.
‘He’s a bit of a geek and can’t believe someone as famous and glamorous as Katy is interested in him, whereas she’s flattered such a respected politician wants to date her,’ the source said.
In new, exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail.com, the Firework hitmaker was seen with her new beau on board her yacht Caravelle in late September.
The swimsuit-clad star was seen canoodling with a shirtless Trudeau.
And at one point, the politician grabbed her backside while they wrapped their arms around each other.
Perry was first romantically linked to the politician when they were spotted on dinner date in Montreal in July.
They were also seen enjoying a romantic stroll through the park before fans spotted Trudeau in the audience of Perry’s concert in Canada.
Just one month earlier, the singer announced her split from actor Orlando Bloom, 48.
She had been with Bloom for nearly a decade, having been engaged for six years and welcomed their daughter Daisy, now five, together.
They started dating in early 2016, went through a brief split in 2017 but reconciled the following year.
They got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 and welcomed their daughter the following year.
Prior to her relationship with Bloom, she was married to controversial comedian Russell Brand before their highly publicized, 14-month marriage ended in 2011.
Trudeau has been divorced since 2023 and quit as prime minister in January.
That summer, he and his now-ex Sophie Grégoire Trudeau announced their separation after 18 years of marriage.
The former couple share three children together.
Perry is currently amid her Lifetimes Tour and is currently on the European leg of her world tour in support of her of her seventh studio album, 143.
